Bar & Restaurant Manager - Full Time

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Bar & Restaurant Manager to manage the teams in the Bar and Restaurant to deliver exceptional service to our customers and guests.

 

Overview:

As Bar & Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Bar and Restaurant operation whilst you manage, lead and train the teams and work closely with the Head Chef ensuring a seamless high level of service is provided at all times. You must have previous experience in a bar & restaurant managerial role. You will be a strong energetic person who is focused on service levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing weekly stock takes and managing stock levels.

  • Completing team rotas and ensuring adequate staff levels for all shifts in line with business requirements.

  • Coaching, mentoring and leading existing and new team members.

  • Ensuring we deliver high standards of service and hospitality to our customers.

  • Responsible for the day to day running of the Food and Beverage operations within the Hotel.

  • Hands on approach during service periods.

  • Leading busy and peak shifts.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.

  • Assist in other areas of the business as and when required.

  • Oversee the running of functions within the Aviator.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Bar & Restaurant managerial role.

  • A positive attitude, as well as courteous and professional at all times.

  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for guest service.

  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.

  • Strong people skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of people.

  • Great leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate your team.

Full time - hours will include evenings and weekends.

Performance related bonus scheme.

Bar & Waiting Staff - Full Time & Part Time

 

We are looking for experienced, motivated and friendly bar and waiting staff to join our busy team.

The role covers all areas of front of house duties including taking orders from customers, serving food and drinks, talking to customers about daily specials and offers, and ensuring customers have an enjoyable experience. You will also have the opportunity to work on some of our events and functions which includes private parties and Wedding Receptions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Taking food and drinks orders from customers and ensuring orders are placed correctly.

  • Running food from the kitchen to customers.

  • Checking back on tables with their food orders.

  • Restock and replenish the bar and ensuring stock rotation to minimise wastage.

  • Ensure the bar area is kept clean and tidy.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous hospitality experience preferred, however training will be given.

  • Reliable, as well as courteous and professional at all times.

  • A positive attitude with excellent communication skills.

  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.

  • Able to work well under pressure.

  • Must be able to work well as part of a team.

  • You will be flexible, hardworking and fun!

 

Full time and Part time hours available

Hours include lunch times, evenings and weekends.

Must be over 18 years old to work behind the bar.

Sous Chef - Full Time

 

We are looking for an experienced, creative and motivated Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team. The food we produce is fresh, varied and good quality ranging from bar meals to the restaurant and functions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes.

  • Assist Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes

  • Ensure the consistent production of high-quality food at all times.

  • Ensure efficient, cost-effective operation and profitability of food production and manage portion and waste control.

  • Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met.

  • Assisting with the management of health and safety and food hygiene practices.

  • Support with the training and development of the team.

  • Deputise in the Head Chef’s absence.  

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Sous Chef role demonstrating ability to work productively at pace.

  • Minimum of Level 1 and 2 Food Safety and Health and Safety qualifications.

  • Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety.

  • A creative approach and passion for producing high quality food.

  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

  • Good communication skills and work well as part of a team.

  • Friendly, adaptable, hardworking and enthusiastic.

Night Porter - Full Time

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a reliable, motivated and friendly Night Porter to join our busy team.

 

Overview:

the role covers all areas of front of house duties including serving drinks to Hotel guests, checking in and out Hotel guests, setting up function rooms and ensuring the security of the building throughout the night hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming late arriving Hotel guests and assisting with queries.

  • Administering check-ins, check-outs and assigning rooms.

  • Setting up function rooms and cleaning down from the days events.

  • Undertake front of house duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests to ensure a comfortable stay.

  • Ensuring the security of the building is maintained throughout the night hours, including regular walk arounds.

  • Serve drinks at the bar for hotel guests.

  • Be fully conversant with the procedures in case of emergency. This will cover the procedure for guests being taken ill, fire safety procedure, and also for yourself working alone.

  • Ensure public areas are cleaned.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a Hotel and worrking during the night preffered but not essential.

  • Experience using Microsoft Suite programmes and completing administration tasks.

  • Reliable, as well as courteous and professional at all times.

  • A positive attitude with excellent communication skills.

  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.

  • Able to work well under pressure.

  • First aid experience, however training can be provided.

  • Must be able to work well as part of a team and individually.

  • You will be flexible, adaptable, hardworking and fun!

Functions & Events Assistant - Full time

We are looking for a Function and Events Assistant to join our team to ensure the smooth and efficient operational running of our functions and events. This role will also include offering day to day assistance to our Hotel Reception Team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinating and managing events within the hotel function rooms and across the airfield.

  • Meet and greet clients on arrival and throughout the event to ensure client expectations are achieved and services are provided in a timely manner and are of a consistently high standard.

  •  Supervising events staff and assisting the management team in delivering quality service and a great customer experience.

  •  Ensuring events suites are set in line with guest requirements.

  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of all operating banqueting equipment (inc crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen and furniture).

  •  Be courteous and professional at all times.

  • Creating hotel reservations, welcoming guests and checking their details against the booking.

  • Answering the phone, speaking to customers, taking messages, and delivering them accordingly.

  • Preparing invoices, checking guests out and ensuring prompt payment.

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Highly customer focused with an eye for detail.

  • Good time management is essential, and the ability to multitask.

  • Experience in a supervisory role and environment is an advantage

  • Be a presentable, hands on and positive individual.

  • A good understanding of Health and Safety policy.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team or individually.

  • Offer great customer service in a confident, friendly and professional manner.

 

Full time role – includes evenings and weekends
